Born on May 11...

Is all that was written on the box of kittens dumped at our clinic this morning. Anybody need a kitten or 4?
3 female (one black, 2 matching tuxedos) and one male (orange tabby).

In other news...

Someone from DirecTV/TV solutions called back about taking me off the advert list. Woman needs my address...which they obviously already HAVE or I wouldn't be receiving mailings, yes? Anyway, she left a message asking me to call back. Gave me her name and extension and everything... EXCEPT the phone number. I am yet more impressed with the customer service.

And a blurb from Newsweek:

What are the odds?
Heart disease is scary. So is mad cow disease. But only one of them is a good reason to give up beef. Your chance of getting heart disease in the next year is 1 in 250, compared with less than 1 in 10 billion for mad cow.

Actually, I'm thinking that if they want kittens, I'll make a long weekend and take the kitties and the bat over, drop the bat off with the rescue in bothell and the kittens at ocicat's, and visit some seattelites while i'm around.

You're welcome to come with if you like (i much prefer driving with company), but it'll probably be a thurs-sunday or fri-monday thing, which hasn't seemed to work with your schedule in the past :(

I contacted him and he says he'll pass. He ideally wants a polydactyl and is worried he might not click with these guys after the long trip. So it looks like no luck... Maybe we can do a Thurs-Fri (drive back Sat morn) thing someday though... Compromise. :)

Well hell, I had a polydactyl in a bit ago, but only one--don't know if she's still available; really sweet and tiny (6 pounds) young adult female with 7 toes on each front foot. Dubbed her Thumbelina. Yellow and brown tabby. I can see if Lorraine still has her if he is interested.

As for the long trip, well, I gotta bring the kennel back anyway--so if it's got cats in it instead of empty, oh well. Just means I've gotta pick 'em back up on the way out of town.

I think he's more concerned about the trip being stressful for them. I think he may be a bit too sweet natured to go with our theory of "tough luck kitty, you're alive." I'm not going to push, I've really only had a few short conversations with him - enough to know he's very nice and any cat that moves in with him is lucky - but that's about it.

Heh. What if you tell him I'm bringing them to Seattle anyway, and he might as well meet them?

Lol! I don't know... He's ocicat on LJ - track him down and ask! :) I really think he's looking for a polydactyl and that he's got something in particular in mind.

Alrighty then... I'll track him down :)
