There are 2 very important rules to remember when dealing with clients.

1: Believe everything the client tells you. They know their animal better than you do, and will notice things you'll miss. No matter how bizarre the complain is, take it seriously.

2: Don't believe a damn word the client says. Chances are they know nothing about animals and even less about medicine.

When you can follow both of those rules at the same time, you'll have it down.

That sounds so applicable to my current dilemas with clients, especially when the story changes between my questions and the residents'.
