Just talked to Jo (sarah's mom). Sarah and Mark and another friend were riding quads along a dike road that they apparently frequently ride. one of the culverts had blocked and the road next to the culvert washed out because of the rain--drop off of approximately 35 feet. Mark and Sarah went over the edge before they saw it, their friend barely stopped. Sarah was thrown and killed instantly, Mark is now out of hospital--the quad landed on top of him.

Jo's not sure when but is trying to set up a celebration of life sometime soon.

I was thinking that it might be appropriate to do something at NorWes as well, a bit more of a wake with her friends--i expect that the memorial jo organizes will be rather quieter than a manor-style farewell.

So Dr. Allen called me up today, and let me know that Djali was having trouble breathing even with a trach tube in. She died shortly after, post-mortem is pending.
