Anybody need one? We've got a set of 5 kittens (2 female, 3 male) that were just brought in today to be desexed. They belong to the local rescue; apparently they were fostered out to someone, but the rescue found out they were being kept in an abandoned car and not in the house at all. SO they took them back, but don't really have a different foster to take them to.
Grey tabby patch on white, except for 1 black and white boy. The whole lot is polydactyl. Desexed, vaccinated, dewormed. No fleas, lice, or ear mites seen.

Good luck. Don't need one. :)
We are plenty full of cats now. His, her's (Kate), mine, and ours - all bases covered!

Yeah, me either. Next year, when I have a hay shed, it's conceivable that I'll get an outside cat or two. But not very nice to bring kittens home and turn them out in the cold and wet.

Not so much. House them with Hitchhiker? :)

Wait - what the heck are you doing up?

uhm. replying to you, waiting for clara to call about breakfast, playing babble, sitting in front of the fire, listening to the radio announcement about the gentleman that died yesterday (that I posted about).

There's not that much room in that cage!

For kittens it's no worse than a shelter cage if you add a few levels.

But think of poor Loqui. She'd be stressed as hell by that. and Hitchhiker might beat the kitties up.

I hadn't seen her in there when I was last over so didn't realize she was still there. I def wouldn't torture a poor pig w/ kittens. I could loan you another cage! Or I think I keep forgetting to take mine home.... Lol

She spends most of her time under the pig-loo. which doesn't mean she isn't active; the pig-loo walks around the cage constantly.

Actually, it's unlikely I'll be bringing any of these kittens home; they belong to cat care, not to me. I'm just trying to find them homes while they're at the clinic to make life easier on the rescue.

Lol at the walking pigloo.
Ah, I thought you were stuck with kittens - I know how much you love babies!
Why are we up at the same time?

Because you are crazy and haven't gone to bed yet.

If I could have fallen asleep I would have. I'm sick and I still can't fall asleep before 6/7. I think last night was the first night in at least a year where I was asleep between 1 and six - and that had a lot to do with the fact that I hadn't been awake for more than 5 hours straight in days...

You really should go see a doctor about that.

The sick or the sleep? The sleep is just me. Has been since I was in elementary school. The sick I'm considering.

Both, because the insomnia obviously affects your health, both mental and physical.

I'd hate to go to bed at 10, I guess this is what I have instead. 3 or 4 would be better, but....
Besides, I've talked with quite a few insomniacs and either nothing has worked or it's all about structure and laying there going crazy - I'd rather just be up all night than live by a crazy structure or lay there. When I left home I vowed I would never do that again if I didn't have to and have gotten into some damned good fights about it.

most of the time, my insomnia is more related to stress. irregardless, sleep is necessary for health, and if you are awake for 5 days straight, you are NOT WELL. In fact, you are legally impaired and/or incompetent. So do something about it.

I've never been awake for more than 2-3 days straight (3 was college) and that was never because I couldn't fall asleep (ok, not never but only a handful of times) but rather because I didn't have time to - something had to get done. No, I get some sleep every night, just not as much as I'd like to most. And once I get to sleep I usually stay there for as many hours as I can. It's the falling asleep part that's brutal on me.

Insomnia is why I've started doing my nails again. Lol! And it is helping my Xmas shopping...

I'm up to my ears in Christmas kittens right now... today's count: 102 cats, 60 of which are kittens.

Not a single polydactyl among them though... if anyone asks I'll send them your way.

Thanks. Do you get much demand for extra toes? I mean, they're cute and all, but I wouldn't think someone would come all the way up here from there to get a kitten just for the feet.

Actually, lots of people ask. It's a bit of a stretch to have someone drive 2 hours each way to get one though. Not out of the question, but unlikely.

Hmm. Well, I am willing to meet in Spokane to trade kittens off :)
