So, other than trying not to die on the road, yesterday was pretty fun. Went thrift-store shopping with Bruce. Found a kick-ass pair of boots (good spottin', Bruce!). Picked up lots of books, and had fun trying on dresses that I'll never wear.

Stopped for dinner at Top of India on the way home. Pretty disappointing, really. the food was acceptable, but I can get better than acceptable food at home. Eating out should be really damn good food, or stuff that's too hard/time consuming to bother making it at home. Wish Cedars was closer, we could go get really good Indian. Service was cheerful and the one girl was lech-worthy though. So was her friend who came in to pick her up.






Also, today Bruce made me chocolate covered mangoes. Delicious!

Yeah, Top of India isn't anything to write home about. Taste of India is pretty tasty, but the service sucks. I just about walked out when I didn't see a server to pay them for an hour after we'd finished eating. Yarg.

I like the place out in the valley. I think that may have been Taste of India? only been there once. This was the one on Division, and we basically went to the first open restaurant we found, since it was already after 9... probably won't be going back.

Top of India is out in the Valley on Sprague. Taste of India is on N. Division :-)

Hate to be the bearer or bad news but Cedars was sold to someone else (keeping the menu for a while but who knows quality - I particularly care about Indian food and I could find things I liked there) but the orig owners will be opening a new place, different name soon. I'll keep you posted if you'd like.
And lovely boots, sorry I missed out on the fun...

I wished I could do it that night but I just wasn't up for it.
