AAAANNDDD.....
Dec. 3rd, 2008 11:14 amThe next contestant on "can you adopt me out" is:
Pippen. A 7 month old, neutered male, Chihuahua/Dachshund/Pomeranian mix. He was brought in to be euthanized because the owner doesn't trust him around the new baby, and thinks that taking him to the Humane Society = consigning him to a horrible, abusive home and/or painful death. Have tried multiple times to convince this woman that the folks at the Humane Society do their damnedest to find decent homes, that is, after all, the point of a rescue. But whatever.
Perfectly healthy dog. Small; at 16 pounds, he's a little chunky. Short, thick hair. He's sitting on my lap trying to lick my face as I type. I'll try to get pictures soon.
Pictures!

AND: There's a couple coming in to look at him tonight, as a possible companion for their other dog. Wish me luck!
Updated Update! The couple has decided to try him out, he is packed off and gone home with them for a 2 week trial. That has got to be my fastest in-and-out of rescue yet.
