Not a specifically veterinary complaint; I'm sure every business that takes appointments gets calls like this. Message on the machine when we came in in the morning: "Hi. This is Julie. I need to bring my dog in, but I'm pretty short on time. So I need an appointment for this morning between 9 and 10:15." That's it. No last name. No dog's name. No indication of what we would be doing during this appointment. No phone number to call back. As if we have only 1 possible client that it could be? Because Julie is such a rare name?

Also, this one is fairly frequent: "Do I need an appointment to bring my _____ in for ______?" Well, only if you want a reasonable chance that there's a doctor available to see it, I guess.
