Oh if his mom had dared ME to wear those heels to school, I'd have just given her the win from the get-go. My "dress shoes" are Sketchers. :) And if I had been the dean, I'd have said something to the effect of "not everyone in this school is as creative and open-minded as you and I regarding gender roles and images, and so you are creating a lot of distraction dressed as you are. I'd ask you to please go home and change, though I cannot force you to do so, as you do not specifically violate the school's dress code." Unless he acted a total twit, there would have been no suspension at all, even if he chose to remain in the dress the rest of the day. Which, as I recall, 8th grade boys dressed as girls acted really really obnoxious back in the 80's. So really, who knows.
