Wow... I actually took the time to read a bit here and there all over that site... I thought for sure that had to be a spoof of some sort. Kinda like the Landover Baptist folks or something.
I try to avoid leaving the house the day after Thanksgiving. Safer that way. And I really wish we had an option other than WalMart here. Closest thing is driving to the next town over to go to a ShopKo, which is a smaller store, and generally has poorer selection of the things I'm looking for. Better clothes though. I NEVER buy clothes at WalMart. Or rather, the few times I have, I've regretted it within two wearings of the garment.
Now if we had a Freddies around here, or even a Target, I'd be thrilled!
I'm poor enough that when I've got access to a Wal-Mart, I do shop there. For which the multitudes of rich liberals who don't work and get school credit for protesting ship dockings rag me about, but F 'em.
That said, I don't have to like it. I found this on the site: "Sam Walton applied biblical principles to run his business. He never failed to give King Jesus the glory."
To which I can only reply, "it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven." Are these people nuts? Sam Walton, destroyer of local economies and proud pervayer of minimum wage, no benefit work.... Those are biblical principles? That is giving "King Jesus the glory"?
You obviously misunderstood--these are the same people who think that "biblical principles" means anyone who thinks differently than them is going to Hell. Generosity isn't one of the principles they care about.
That would explain the gay-bashing. After all, they have to be pretty jealous of people who not only have sex, but enjoy it enough to flaunt social convention in order to have the sort of sex they like.
Do you read Something Positive? please say yes. But if the answer is no, you should at least go read the current "Hell house" story arc. Much fun to be had.
I have not recently. I've only just found myself with a little time to waste today (well, I'm wasting time I shouldn't really) and have been enjoying the heck outta not being productive.
