Someday, someone will, in all seriousness, say something so entirely wrong that the statement itself becomes a fatal poison to my brain.



Not today, apparently, since I'm still relatively coherent. But here's a small taste of what that poison may be like:

"We didn't worry about separating them because they're so young. We thought she couldn't get pregnant on her first heat, and our daughter told us that he wouldn't be able to figure it out anyway."
Yup. Right. Guess what? Your dog's pregnant. Same as all those silly teenagers who thought they couldn't get pregnant the first time they had sex.

or how about this gem?
"Well, we didn't think they'd do anything, because he's, you know, he's her father."
Riiight. Because human hang-ups about incest will determine what a bitch in heat does? HAH! If he's the closest male, he's fair game. Once again, your dog is pregnant.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the people who have the least concept of how babies happen are the ones most likely to end up with them?!

Come now. You know better than to ask such questions. Human procreation is predicated on people not understanding even the faintest details of it.
