Stupidity of impressive proportions.

This is a story from several days ago. It was actually directed at one of my coworkers, not myself. I was dealing with the Miller's and the gunshot dog at the time.
Woman presents a rottie puppy which had been vomiting for 5 days. Pup was 4 months old, had not been vaccinated for anything prior to onset of vomiting. However, the owner in her brilliance had suspected that the pup might have parvo, so she'd given him TWO doses of vaccine on Saturday. Surprisingly (to her, anyway) the pup had not improved.
Surprisingly (to us, anyway) she authorized treatment when the pup's parvo test came back +++.
Not terribly surprising, her decision to authorize treatment was based much more upon what she'd read on the internet than on actually listening to Dr S's advice.
Pup actually did quite well with treatment, despite the late start. He was discharged last night. Technician spent at least 15 minutes in the exam room discussing take-home instructions, how much to feed and how often to avoid over-stressing the already stressed GI tract, the fact that the pup is still contagious and shedding virus for at least another 2-3 weeks, etc.
Owner pays, technician goes to get the pup. Owner promptly puts the pup on the lobby floor and lets it run around unrestrained, playing with the children. (Does she not understand "contagious"?!) Technician retrieves pup, and gets owner, rampant children, and pup out of building with a 2-3 day supply of low-fat, bland, easy on the stomach food.
Today, owner calls. She's out of that food now, can she switch the pup back to his regular food? Receptionist discusses again the importance of not over-feeding the pup. Owner then asks if she can now start the pup in a training class, since he's been vaccinated and all. Receptionist reminds owner that pup is STILL FUCKING CONTAGIOUS. Also, we do not consider him vaccinated, because 1: you need more than one vaccine (and it doesn't matter how much of it you give him, if it's all at the same time, it's ONE vaccine), and because 2: vaccinating him when he's already sickerthanshit means he is not going to respond to the vaccine.
