An update on the dead puppies from the flight I mentioned a bit ago. Necropsies were "inconclusive" which would, unfortunately, be the case with death from overheating. Or suffocation. Or several other things. (Incidentally, all those cop shows that bring back autopsy results "proving" death by drowning and that the murder victim drowned in water other than where they were found? they lie.) So basically, no pre-existing problems were found to exonerate the airline, but no way to prove fault either.

I'd think the pile of dead dogs would be proof of fault, eh? I mean, that's several standard deviations right of the mean.

It is circumstantial, not proof...
All 7 dead pups came from the same breeder. Might have been a fault with the supplier, or the breeding. It was never stated whether they were all the same breed, or litter mates. 17 other dogs on the flight did not die, after all.

That said, still scary as shit and completely reinforces my refusal to ship my flat-faced foster cat somewhere as cargo. Why-oh-why are all the people asking about him from the east coast?!

Ahh, so you still have him huh? Lori asks about him every now and then. Good thing he's not in Moscow, or she'd have another cat.

I do... though the folks from Florida are looking into airfare to come meet him!
