updates on cats.

the amputee cat from a few days ago is doing poorly. became acutely lethargic and icteric on sunday, so i sent him to WSU today. his red blood cell count has dropped severely, so he got a blood transfusion this afternoon, hopefully that'll help. but they weren't sure why he was breaking down all his red blood cells, so not sure if they can stop it :(

the diabetic cat is now down to 1 unit twice daily and i'm hoping to wean him entirely off insulin and just maintain him with diet in a few weeks :)

good to hear :) talked to the lovely doc eric s about him thursday, they were talking about sending him back to us or home with a feeding tube. any idea if that happened? i'm off to georgia for a friend's wedding so i'm not there to hear from the owner.
