Thing the second, I do not, as a general rule, read fan-fic. I'm generally of the opinion that if you're a good writer with brilliant ideas, you should create your own world and your own characters. However, I am absolutely loving this re-telling of Harry Potter as a rationalist. It is a work in progress, and long already--I don't know how long it will end up being, but it is easily better writing than stuff I've seen published, and a premise I'm enjoying greatly. Start reading here.
Updates Sundays, sometimes more often, sometimes skips a week to post a longer chapter all at once rather than breaking.
Thing the third, in sharp contrast to thing the second, is a stunning example of some of the worst writing I've ever forced myself to read. I challenge you to make it to the end of this person's profile.
