Kradjian Imp Co, Glendale, CA is recalling 231 Cases, 22Lb / Cs of Cedar brand Tresse Cheese, 16 oz and Cedar brand Shinglish cheese, 16 oz because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes

Avon Heights Mushrooms, in full cooperation with the FDA is recalling certain packages of fresh packaged spinach. The brands include Krisp Pak 1 Ooz bags, Better Brand 10oz.bags, and Avon Heights 4-2.51b bags. The implicated packages have a "best if used by" code of DEC16 and codes DP 340 and T691. During routine surveillance sampling, one package of Better Brand 10oz spinach tested positive for ecoli 0157h.

Green Valley Food Corp. of Dallas, Texas is recalling a grand total of 6,723 cases because of a “Let’s Grow Healthy Together!” Alfalfa Sprouts 5 oz. container test result showed to be contaminated with Salmonella. Yeah. I know, the grammar in that sentence is atrocious; I'm not even convinced it's a sentence. Whattayagonnado? In real words, it means that they've expanded last week's recall of 650 cases of sprouts to 6,723 cases. The name is still horribly ironic. :)

Taylor Farms Retail Inc. is voluntarily recalling 3,265 cases of various bagged salad blends that have the potential to be contaminated with salmonella. The company said Wednesday that its action comes after the Washington state Agriculture Department conducted a random test on a finished package of spinach.

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) and the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) are investigating illnesses in at least six people in Minnesota that are connected with a recall of organic shell eggs due to contamination with Salmonella Enteritidis. The contamined eggs were traced back by the MDA to Larry Schultz Organic Farm of Owatonna, where environmental testing confirmed the presence of Salmonella Enteritidis. Larry Schultz Organic Farm is cooperating with the MDA investigation and has issued a voluntary recall of the products. Eggs from Larry Schultz Organic Farm are packaged under the following brand names: Lunds & Byerlys Organic, Kowalski’s Organic, and Larry Schultz Organic Farm.

Church Brothers, LLC is voluntarily recalling 560 bags of clipped spinach as a precautionary measure after one bag tested positive for Salmonella during a random USDA Microbiological Data Program sampling. The recalled product was processed on October 6, 2011 and shipped in 2.5 pound bags to Super King Markets in Los Angeles, California. The bagged spinach affected by this recall was available for sale beginning October 7, 2011 and has a “best if used by” date of 10/23/11.

Fair Oaks Dairy Products, LLC today issued a voluntary recall of blue cheese produced under the Fair Oaks Royal Blue Cheese label and purchased on or after September 25, 2011 because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Fair Oaks, based in northwest Indiana, said that a small quantity of the cheese was sold at its Fair Oaks Dairy store in Northwest Indiana, central Indiana and to several other stores through distributers, on and after September 25. The product is in 1/3 to 1/2 lbs packages in a royal blue foil with the label “Fair Oaks Royal Blue Cheese.”

FDA Warns Consumers Not to Eat Raw Oysters Harvested from Hood Canal Area 4 in Washington State. Oyster recall affects 23 states. So you'll all remember the bit about the guy from California claiming raw oysters from Washington are safe, because vibrio magically doesn't happen here? Hahahahahahahaha.

Publix Super Markets is issuing a voluntary recall for spinach dip because it may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes. The problem was discovered as a result of routine microbial testing conducted by Publix. The 16 ounce containers of prepackaged spinach dip were sold at Publix retail deli departments with a UPC of 41415-00062 and use by date of OCT 10 C1.

Tyson Fresh Meats Inc. is recalling approximately 131,300 pounds of ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7
